Firstly, and i really don't mean any disrespect here, but you seem to lack
a basic understanding of how portals work.

Compassmap not lining up with player indicator...Call of Duty 4 : CoD4 MP Mappingcheck if the worldspawn settings have a 'northyaw' value in them.
If it does, remove it.
If it doesn't, you can add a northyaw value to 'rotate' the map relative to
the compass image so they line up. Ie a northyaw of 90 will rotate the map

Cutting down on file sizeCall of Duty 4 : CoD4 MP MappingDont use exploding cars......that'll save several meg.
I may be wrong, but i cant see how limiting the amount of stock textures
you use will cut down the maps size.

Firstly, because the editor looked at the path you gave it and couldn't
find a valid model.
Secondly you have the editor set to show entities as bounding boxes.

Completely noob question....terrain patches....Call of Duty 2 : CoD2 MP MappingA patch is made up of triangles.
Ideally you keep the number of triangles (and other textured surfaces) in
your map to a bare minimum.
If you can get away using a huge patch thats only divided 3x3, do that

cant select brush face ?Call of Duty 4 : CoD4 MP Mappingsudswu - If you want to use decals on brushes you need to be able to select
individual faces.
Can't think of a toggle that stops you selecting faces.........open the
filters and make sure everything is checked?.....can't think of anything
