lo all

not new to radiant but recently bought new pc , installed radiant , everythign run's fine , have textures but cant select brush faces ?

any ideas ?

(little rusty , havnt mapped for awhile)

.net 2.0 installed
shader model 4.0 card
radiant patch v1.1 installed

hold shift and leftclick on the face you want to select.
Should work just fine.

If not, can you select a texture and make a new brush with that texture?

Its....er......ctrl+shift+left click (in the 3d window) to select a brush face :)

thx for the replys , but thats what i meant , ctrl/shift left click doesnt work !

cant seem to make it work either , i can make a brush, texture it but cant select the individual faces like say for a decal


doing my nut , no error , radiant is working fine just doesnt wanna select for some reason , maybe a toggle button ?

a decal is a separate brush or patch

sudswu - If you want to use decals on brushes you need to be able to select individual faces.

Can't think of a toggle that stops you selecting faces.........open the filters and make sure everything is checked?.....can't think of anything else off the top of my head.

i was thinking that perhaps he wanted to turn the face of a wall into a decal...rather than place a decal over the wall

....ahh its bed time...i know what i mean and thats the important part :)
