i had this issue before too, what could help you is to edit your compass image to make it fit better - real dirty solution tho...

Yeah, I've been fiddling with that option too. [lol] I've also been adjusting the minimap_corners and recompiling to try and fit it that way. My script_origins are on perfectly aligned, perfectly square corners with my skybox. Which is totally different than the backlot_geo map. Those script_origins are more rectangular. And I've even tried that.

My image is cropped just inside the white border. And it gets resized to 512x512, or 1024x1024, either of which isn't working, and saved as 72ppi, 24 bit, uncompressed tga. I've tried DDS, no alpha, no mipmaps too.

No luck.

Thanks for the replies.

Sevenz, I'm using the SetMinimap command to stretch my image into place. That's working a lot faster than stretching the image in Paint Shop. I'm tweaking it into place as best I can and it looks like it will turn out OK. I wish I didn't have to do it this way but ya gotta do what ya gotta do I suppose.

Does the following setting, which is usually set in the /raw/maps/mp/mp_mapname.gsc file, have any influence on the issue you're having?

setdvar("compassmaxrange","1800");

I've tried to zoom the compassmap with a smaller number, but it just got too crappy looking. And I'm not sure if it helped to line up the image because I just went back with 1800 and lined it up with the setminimap command. It looks OK now after some tweaking. Thanks.

I'm having the same problem, how do I make the the edit permanent? I tried it and it helped but when I ran the map on a different profile the changes didn't stay.

thx in advance,
