I guess you figured what i was gonna ask but still, does anyone know if it is possible to open a UO map made with Gradiant in CoD4 Radiant?

Remove ALL the models from the map and caulk it should allow you to open it in Radiant... I think [confused]

That is correct. You can leave any Clip textures unchanged, as it will retain those. You can keep Portal too, but Portal No Draw will disappear.

Thank you, trying it now, first i will need to reinstall UO, because Gradiant doesnt detect it, but is there a way to select all xmodels at once ( the map is a little huge )

and to be sure, i open the gmm file in radiant right?

I'm not sure what a gmm file is, but if the extension isn't .map, (say it's .pfb), you can just change it.

You can open the UO map file in Radiant without making any changes to initially, but you'll have to "select all" and texture everything with caulk. You'll also likely have a bunch of red boxes everywhere. You can filter out all the brushes, terrain patches, etc., and have only the boxes showing. It's easier to delete them all that way.

It's not a perfect system, but it's not too much of a hassle, either.

Thanks, the gmm is the gradiant filetype, after i reinstalled UO i just noticed the export map in the main menu, the last time i opened it was more than a year ago and now i need to continue the map i started for UO to CoD4.

make sure to export the map, gmm wont open in cod4 radiant, only .map or .pfb, but before you do that, select all your clips, then press i, then hit s and type in common/caulk, then your done

open the gmm file in a notepad like text editor, it is a xml like reference file for the map. Same goes for the gml files.

Just export under .map file.

OK i have another problem, i did everything: export the map file, open it in cod4 radiant, every texture is caulk, all models are replaced with new ones.. so far so good. but when i click on Compile BSP it reaches Loading mapfile and.... and nothing. its just sitting there, does anyone have an idea why this happens?

sometimes it takes a really long time. just sit back and wait. when i compiled a map for a friend, it took 30 minutes to load the map files but just 5 minutes to compile the geometry and lightning.
