Hey all-

I don't have Photoshop so my clan admin is making the loadscreen for my map. He was converting in the Asset Mgr and came up with this error:

********** ERROR*********
loadscreen_mp_orchard: refusing to write DXT5; source is DXT3

I assumed he had followed the tut and checked the box-DXT5, but i'm kind of in the dark. I sent him the loadscreen tut that I found here and he downloaded the plugin, etc....

Where are those options, DXT5, 2D...etc., that are supposed to be checked? Any ideas on correcting the error?

No idea how to correct it, but I had the same problem... the thing in the Asset Manager has to be DXT5 for it to work, so my tutorial says. I guess something has gone wrong in the saving of the dds or something. I tried converting the file with DXT3, and the conversion worked, but it didn't create my .iwi file. In fact, I have absaloutly no idea what it did. Nothing seemed to be changed.

If the nvidia dds-plugin installed correctly, you'll find a new fileformat under save as..
"]

After selecting this option click save and a new window opens

or
(the layout has changed between the versions of the plugin)

There you'll find the options you are looking for.

I just finsh a loadingscreen setup, put everything into the .iwd file, with their folders, "images, materials, soundaliases, maps=mp=.gsc file, ,csv file, d3dbps file, fx.gsc file"

but is not working. I ran the map and the loading screen is not there. Where did I get lost.?
