really - you can post this and sticky this thread and many like it over and over...but i have come to notice that this question gets asked at least 3 times a month...usually in a run...no matter how many times it is stated that you cannot do it[angryalien]

yes. I believe that National Geographic is doing a documentary on the rare form of life known as the BSPtoMAPian. Apparently, these small, rather fragile creatures wander about the internet, feeding off of one possible converter to another, never quite able to voice their questions in public. However, in rather regular occurences, some of them tend to flock together as a herd, and their combined bravery allows them to question in possible feeding grounds, such as this forum. This sticky is ment to ward off the creatures, but I too doubt it will serve effectively, seeing as the BSPtoMAPian is often blind to previously established notions.

That's my rant for the day....nobody take any offence please.

|OCG| Glitch is pretty amazing at editing .bsp's ..rofl
adding bases and base assult to that uo map was pretty cool, as was making brecourt winter...to name a couple.

as for world spawn settings , Ive never seen it pulled off, it always looks like crap.

I tell people compiling a .map into a .bsp is like taking a picture, going from a negative to a photograph, and ya cant go backwards.

and going through the trouble of changing the location of Models or adding fx to a stock map doesnt seem worth it,when you can just take another picture...however, the most popular customs seem to be those variations of the stocks so many players can appeal to...

You 'Can' Edit Executables or EXE's. Its called 'Appending'
Some Are Easier Than Others.
I Can Edit Certain Stuff....Hmmmmmm Maybe I`ve Said Too Much.

Anyways When It Comes To .bsp Files. (Binary Space Partitions)
Biggest Problem With Them Is Saving The File Back To Its Original Without Losing Its Formatting.
But Hey,,,, Im Not Saying It Couldnt be Done. But Why Even Bother?
Make Your Own Stuff Its Better That Way.
