If I remember correctly this error normally is done when a block is cut or vertice moved wrongly and it creates extra faces that shouldnt exist or makes main faces invisible.
Normally the only way to get around this is to locate the bad piece and replace it with a brand new peice cut fresh.
If that wasnt exactly what it is Im sure someone will come along shortly and clear up this matter.

I get the same error. Shortly after it quits compiling with a line
"ERROR: Access to the path 'C:\Users\Barrie\AppData\Local\Activision\CodWaW\mods\usermaps\images.iwd' is denied."

I checked the error file on the map which took me to a piece of pavement texture. I deleted it. I compiled again and got the same messags. I think it dealt with a floating texture error. Is there a way to locate all errors in the map??

I also found out this error means your vis, data size is too large, after back tracking 3 days thru the map.It may be what the above guy said but more than likely just lower your vis. size and presto your error will go away. Just make alot structural brushes detail to lower your vis. size
