Does anyone have any information on getting destructible cars to work in a MP map. I have followed the Destructable Cars tutorial dated Wed. Jan. 23, 2008 by bloody soldier but not having any luck.

Keep getting script runtime errors and its not finding part tag_glass_front_d in entity models.

Any ideas??

Search is your friend, especially considering this same topic/post was made today just a few hours earlier. See this post CLICK ME!

Post on that post what vehicles you're using. So we can figure out which one(s) have probs.

Thanks but did you find any cars that worked?? If not then how do you know thats the problem?

I got those to work in the mp_test.map
prefabs/mp_destructibles/vehicle_80s_sedan1_tan_destructible.map
prefabs/mp_destructibles/vehicle_80s_sedan1_green_destructible.map
prefabs/mp_destructibles/vehicle_80s_sedan1_yel_destructible.map
prefabs/mp_destructibles/vehicle_80s_sedan1_red_destructible.map
prefabs/mp_destructibles/vehicle_80s_wagon1_yel_destructible.map
prefabs/mp_destructibles/vehicle_80s_wagon1_tan_destructible.map
prefabs/mp_destructibles/vehicle_80s_wagon1_green_destructible.map
prefabs/mp_destructibles/vehicle_80s_wagon1_red_destructible.map
prefabs/mp_destructibles/vehicle_80s_wagon1_silv_destructible.map

Put them in, compiled bsp, build ff and run the map out of compiler.
Shot at them got an error which could be ignored and a nice red fx, shut down the game, updated my zone, build ff again and then it works. I was even able to just copy and paste them in that map and they still work.

I am now trying this:
Copied the cars out of the mp_test to my current map I am working on, copied the zone file (missing assets on the right) to the missingassets right side of my current map and hope after compiling bsp that this would work. Will post the result asap.

This method doesn't work for me, either. Test map gets the same error.

I removed only vehicle_small_wagon
and it works perfectly. Something is missing for the wagon.

Yeah, even in the editor, I hadn't noticed, but in the editor, it's missing the doors and the hood. That car just doesn't work, hehe.
