Boost_Scrappy,

All of us have been new to mapping/scripting/modding before, even yourself. So don't go bringing other people down because they are trying to learn. You aint got something nice/helpful to say, then just stay quiet.

I just setup cod2 radiant and was able to add the flying stuka no problem.

Try manually typing the xmodel name. Just right click as you would when adding any model, but dont use the pop-up window t with all the xmodels in it.

key Value

classname misc_model
model xmodel/vehicle_stuka_flying

Then just do as Grassy said. I did not realize you could simply do that instead of making out script origins for it.

ok so heres what i know have. in radiant i have 3 planes that are misc_models each connected to their own script_origin with target names of stuka1.target, stuka2.target, and stuka3.target. As for scripting I have a separate .gsc file that i posted in the first post located in my maps/mp folder. Is that all? Someone mentioned script_models. I don't have any of those.

well i compiled the map with the situation i describe previously and the planes appear and just stay floating in the air. i am obviously missing a few steps or my script is wrong. is it supposed to be a seperate .gsc file like i have it? if so what do i name the .gsc file? please read my last few posts and help me out. ty.

No they MUST be script_models so they can be controlled via scripts.

still no luck after changing them to script_model. The planes still appear in the air, but don't move.

Ok have you fallowed this trutial? it is very much the same for CoD and CoD2

http://www.modsonline.com/Tutorials-read-200.html
nullFew tips for coding.
1. Keep the script as short as possible.
2. Don't comment every line. Only comment portions where they may be needed to point something out.
3. Don't over complicate the script, keep it organized and easy to read.

These help you find simple errors and makes it easy to make changes.
