How do I specify the center point for gravity...

I want to make a small planet, that you can walk ALL over, instead of just the top half...

HA... Answer that poo-poo...

sadly, it can't be done in the sof series. I have seen this option in other games, but I can't remember ever seeing it in the quake series.

What about makin it some sort of a illusion you no make the sky look like its goin all the way around when really its not. Not sure how you would do it!! Just a option that maybe you could think about.

What if you made a huge mesh ball then put a sky box around the whole orb.

I realize this is SOF2 (see I'm paying attention to the headers), but you might be able to do this half-way in COD (maybe SOF2 as well).

With scripting, you can control the movement of players, and even rotate them.

Create a mesh ball like Red said, then write a scripting algorithm that does gravity calculations, "pulls" players towards the center of the ball, and automatically rotates players as they move along the mesh ball. In theory, a player on the bottom side of the orb would have his feet on the ground, and be looking like he was upside down to a spectator.

I say halfway because I don't think the Q3 engine will allow players to move upside down (could be wrong). But you might be able to get "bots" to move around the whole world. [tongue]

Exactly, but when the player walks to the edge tehy will fall...

And thanks for the thought engineer... That might be the way I end up doing it in another game in the future...

ok, technically, no there isn't an EDGE per say...

So I will translate... "Edge" = "Point at which your F'ed"
