I'm baffled when a new "moddable" game comes out and everyone rushes to code a new MP gametype or a TC that will probably never see the light of day.  What ever happened to SP add-ons?  Is anyone planning on creating new SP levels for this game or something along the lines of a Mission Pack?  I'm curious.

When the game was in developement I remember several people saying they were planning on modding Single Player.  After the first SDK was released we had a few people ask us how to spawn NPCs, etc... So I know there are _some_ people trying to do this, but I don't know which specific mods are planning on having an SP portion.  As for user made expansion packs I think it's a great idea and the SDK should easily support it.  So, go for it!

As Lead Mapper of the Red Orchestra mod, I will inform you guys about RO.

We will make a sp campaign. No details on it, if so, they are staff only details. :p

Just telling you that we will have a SP mod in the future.

I'm planning a SP map pack, story-driven. I'm planning it on paper for the moment and testing stuff on the sdk to see what can be done etc.
Got some good ideas, but a few may need a modellers and a coders help. Y'see I want a finale where the player is on a cargo plane with the rear hatch open, while a jet (I was thinking a Harrier) attacks. Dunno yet, depends on the story I plan as a guess :)

Hey Rev you did good!!   I was referring to TCs that are annouced with no coders, no modellers attached etc. I fear for those projects because it's so difficult to get and keep people involved.  Anyway, I'm glad to see some of us are planning SP work.  I usually don't even play SP games through their completion but I'm planning on learning scripting after I finish my current map and do some SP SoF2 work.

My main point was that I'm surprised *more* people don't take existing assets and make new content for that as opposed to making their dream game (a much tougher proposition IMO.)  I remember there being alot of high quality SP add-ons for Q1 Q2 and Half-Life.  Few of those required modellers and coders...

Pvt:Hudson looking forward to what you come up with.  Same with RO.  rev you just rock in general dude :)

what about chickenhawk??

Mudhen was just going to make a Dues Ex sequel into a mod and rip music and models from other games.

he stopped makin the mod since he went solo. he is 13. claiming he can code,model,map,skin,texture.... my ass he can!  thats why his team quit! and he wanted more than 300 weapons! what a ####in jib!!
