Hello,
My name is Adam and I am posting in regards to my company Ignition Games. We are careting a new game as some of you already know, Heart of the Battle. We need mappers and we need 2-3 of them. Modsonline is the best place to find good designers because theres so much talent here. You will be making $25-$100USD per map you create. We arent using the same engine is cod2 or cod, so you can only use brushes.
In Radiant, you will be creating the buildings and small objects that can be done with brushes (fences, crates..ect..). You will place them In the world you have created, and add vehicles, foilage and anything else that will make the level look good.
Here is a screenshot of the level editor:
It's quite easy to use. You will create levels like:
Carentan
Omaha Beach
Normandy
Stalingrad
and more...
$25-$100 isnt bad, especialy if your doing something you like.
If anyone is interested, contact me @ cbeer1@cogeco.ca.
Thanks,
Adam |

Anyone know if HotB is going to be published/sold? (First time I've heard of this, googled for their website, thought they were the game company near my house, Ignition Entertainment)
If not, the pay seems good for 4+ levels. If it is, eh... royalties would be a question I'd ask the team.
Anyhow, good luck to the team. |

Hello.
Well it seems not a lot of money.
But see it like this,
you are working for a company.
You can put this to your CV [curriculum vitae].

To answer everyones questions firstly, this game will be free for everyone. That is why it is such a low budget. We plan on creating a game that we will put in stored if this one is sucessfull. This is the reason for this.
Also in regards to amishthunder's post, the thing that make a map worth more money is the fact that it has more buildings, objects, bigger terrain, and the greater amount of time it will take. For instance a $100 map would be Stalingrad. A $25 map would be Carentan.
The only requirements are:
-you need to be dedicated (we dont want someone who can work for 1 hour a week.
-you need to have skills
-you need to have a bank account or paypal so I can pay you :)
Theres no age requirements, or country. We want people that can put alot of time and effort into their work.
You will be put into the credits of the game, and working on this helps ALOT if you want to get into companys like Activision, Infinity Ward and even EA. Also I will post some screenshots so people can get a look at what everything looks like.
Thanks,
Adam |
