Ok, I have 3 questions for you guys in this post.

1. I have a problem with one missing texture in this map
here it is:


2. I have two issues of black textures (both are curves)
here they are:



3. I created a blown out spot in this wall, however bullets clip on the edges of the blown out part as if there were invisible walls on them. I have rebuilt the hole a couple of times thinking it would be fixed, but it hasn't

Thanks in advance, the sooner I can fix these 3 issues, the sooner I can put out a beta :D

1) Where is the texture missing? Does it also happen when you place another texture there? Is there a caulk brush in that same spot?

2) Did you have any lighting errors? Did you create a lightgrid?

3) Is there anything there? (Maybe a clip you've filtered out?)

1. the missing texture is right under the window by the door. It's the same as all the other textures surrounding it, but I haven't tried changing it.

2. I made a lightgrid, but how would I check for lighting errors?

3. There's nothing there, I cut both the brush and decals using the clipper.

i found that the only way to fix a texture that is missing is to remake that part of the wall. I had a bunker that the roof didn't show up on the inside the only way to fix it was to delete the bunker and reload the prefab of it i had, that i got from this site and put it back into the spot.
I have also noticed that sometimes radiant will make another caulk brush. is it possible that you have caulk hideing in you wall that is cut out? click on it five or six times to see if something shows up

I've gotten #1 fixed. It turns out there was a different brush going into it.

For #3, I checked out in the editor, and i'm sure there's nothing blocking it inside the editor. One thing that I dunno might play a factor is that the structure itself is a prefab within my map, dunno if that would have any effect however.

Hi...I see alot of duplicate planes! That's no good. You need to resolve these. You can find the specific brush in your editor.I don't remember from the top of my head wich button to click..but you can search the forum by typing duplicate planes.

I searched the forum, and from what I make of it to fix it I'd have to recreate those brushes, correct?

also, could anyone tell me what they are and why they form?

[jumping]I have found that sometimes all you need to do is click on the suspect brush and hit Backspace. Other times you need to re-create the brush. You can find the locations by going into Misc/Find Brush.
