OK, I am trying to compile my first map and I get an error about loading the map, so then I try and load one of the maps that is already there, Matamata , and I get the same error. I will post the error(thanks to stryder for the edited bat file!)TIA for any suggestions

is that your whole log?

If so, did you tick the "compile BSP" box in the compiler?

yes that is the everything that appears in the dos box, and yes that box is checked in the compiler. I followed the directions in the video tutorial exactly as he had given them. and also looked at stryders tutorial on compiling as well. what gets me is it also gives me the error report on the working maps already in folder as well.

is this compile output before pressing any keys? or just the 3rd stage of the compile?

is your .map file in the correct location? - in other words does it show in the list of available maps to be compiled when you open the cod2 compiler?

this is the output before the 2nd time I "press any key" after I hit the key again it shuts down, so this is every bit of what is written in the dos window. and yes the list of maps are all there and then I added a couple of them to the"my maps'.

ok I found the problem, sometimes the compiler would mention about the direct x 27 missing and sometimes it wouldnt so I ignored it. My mistake, after I downloaded the dll It worked marvously, ty

At least you can open the compiler. I have uninstalled and re-installed and then installed those dx 97 direct x files and it always gives me the same error message:

The application failed to initialize properly(0xc0000135).
Click on OK to terminate the application.

Compiler driving ME crazy! Also!!!!

My compiler was working fine a week ago... but now I can't compile the same map I compiled a few days ago...

It goes through fine for a few minute but when the FS Startup begins for the second time my compiler shuts down???

I can compile other maps like Matamata but mine won't compile... I gave my map to my friend who also does mapping and it compiles for him.

I have a fresh COD2 File and my maps file has no mods. Anyone have an answer??

What kind of computer do you have (memory and CPU etc..)?
