hi,
in my map hill24 you can't shoot through the trees. does anyone know how i can change that ?
i tried everything[confused]

Shoot through the trees? Thats a new one! Ok well you could try making it non-coliding though i can't remember if you can make a entity non coliding, i don't think so!

i dont mean to actually shoot through the tree itself but between the leaves..
if u are behind a tree and snipe someone through the leaves your bullet hit the trees.. Like it's a wall..

so if you stand behind a tree.. even if ur body if visible for the most part you cant get shot.. and thats very non-realistic and i would like change it..

indeed the best option is to copy the xmodel file of the tree, rename it to whatever you want, (keep the name logic and unique) and make a collmap for the new tree whit the same name as you renames it. or you could just leave it without collmap and add clip brushes by yourself in your map. whatever works best for you! =)

This works great when you are playing on your pc but to publish or release a map how would these new models/collmaps be included?

There is nothing in a collmap to edit that will allow you to shoot through any part of a tree, that would be defined in the material file the model used.

What is the foliage clip used for that I found in the leaves of a tree if not to block shots etc.?
