Im assuming that installing the expansion pack would add its new content to the editor. . . yet i cant seem to find the gravity gun in any of the lists.

quite cool, im about 3 levels in and just whacked first boss - time powers are cool.

I loaded up the editor and i see there are some changes to the colours in which meshes and moveables are displayed. seems like theres more options in the right click menus.

just cant seem to find that gun or the new enemies yet. there are some new func and i believe doom3world.org has tutorials on these already. must remember to check them out.

in order to use the XP in a map - you must load the editor through the XP

Make a copy of your shortcut to the xp, and open the properties window, in the target line add

+editor

This new shortcut should load the editor in the XP and let you add the new weapons and enimies. The differences you see otherwise in the editor are due to using D3 1.2, not because of the XP. Also you will want to make a new doom.qe4 that tells the editor to save autosaves/etc. in doom3/d3xp/maps and not in the regular maps folder.

Post if you have any problems getting it to work.

i feel a bit stupid now, remembering the whole bit about custom content in the editor.

will try it out as soon as i get a chance. i'm sure it would work fine.
