I CANT SEEM TO FIND HOW TO CHANGE THE SIZE OF THE LIGHT ,HOW FAR THE LIGHT EMANATES FROME ITS SOUCE.

AND IS THERE A WAY TO MAKE IT ONLY SHINE IN ONE CERTAIN DIRECTION LIKE IF YA PUT IT IN A LAMP YOU CAN MAKE IT DIM AND SHINE ONLY DOWN NOT ALL AROUND.

WHEN IT COMES TO ADDING THE SPAWN POINTS DO YOU NEED A SPAWN FOR BOTH THE INTERMICHIANE AND THE SPAWN FOR PEOPLE AT ALL THE PLACES YOU WANT PEOPLE TO GET SPAWNED

ONE MOOR THING WHERE DO I PUT WORLD SPAWN ? DOSE IT GO WAY UP IN THE SKY OR ON TNE GROUND OR WHERE ? SORRY IM A NOOBY I JUST FIGURED OUT HOW TO REALY USE THE RADIANT AND IM REALY STARTING TO GET SOME WHERE WITH BUILDING MY MAP.THE STRUCTUR IS SIMPLE ENOUGH BUT ITS ALL THE TECNACL STUFF LIKE , SPAWN POINTS AND LIGHT THOSE TRIGER FOR THE DRAW THING WHERE YOU PUT UP SOME KINDA WALL THING TO ONLY DRAW SO MUCH OT THE MAP AT A TIME FOR BETTER GAME PLAY YOU KNOW THE TEC. STUFF IF YOU HAVE ANY KNOLAGE IN THIS AREA I WOULD LOVE SOME HELP AND IF I NEED MORE THAN WHAT I MENCHIONED TO RUN A MAP PLEASE LET ME KNOW

Your light question, try this select the light then press "n" in the "key" field type light, in the "value" field type a number, try 5 for starters.. watch the radius change in the 2d view. As for direction I dont know if you can change that. Press "n" again to closs the box.
Then if you want to change the colour of the light press "k" and select a colour.

edit:- forgot to mention, while you have the "n" window open type in the key field overbrightshift and in the value enter 1

For your world spawn setting (lighting etc) select the inner surfaces of your sky box and again press "n" hightlight "worldspawn" at the top, enter your world spawn setting... in the key and value fields a list can be found on this web site. For starters just put the settings in from a stock map such as carentan or whatever. You can play about with them later.

To test your map you will need at least one DM intermission and one DM spawn point. Start with just these! You can add TDM intermission and spawn points later.
Keep your spawn point above ground or floor slightly and make sure they dont intersect with any other brush.
Raise your intermissions and angle them as you would like to view your map at the start of spectate mode.

Light direction may be changed y adding a Info-----> Null to the light. Just place a INFO----->NULL in your map and first select the light then the null and press CTRL +K

Compile the map and see where the light it pointing. If it doesnt work try something else from the Info right click menu.

THANKS FOR THE INFO BUT ONE QUESTION WASENT ANCERED DO I NEED A SPAWN INTERMISHION NEXT TO ALL THE SPAWN POINTS?

AND AS FAR AS THE LIGHT NULL THING( caps lock lol) i tryed to hit ctrl +k but nuthing hapend ? what do i do?

as for as the world spawn gose i highlight the inside of my skybox what about the bottem under the map do i do it to then put world spawn vallues on the inside of skybox. is that right

No you don't need an intermission for every spawn point. Just as many as you think fit.

Ok to answer your question first, ya u don't need a intermission for every spawn you just need one. Because when you join a game that's where the spectate starts. Your second question about the color change... select your ligh then press the "k" button I think not ctrl+k because that is to join together vertices on a terrain/patch mesh. And like Azz said press the "n" key when you have your light selected and type in "ight" for the top bar (Iforgot what itwas called I think it's key then value) and then a number like 5 or thirty and the inner ring is where it's very bright and the outer ring is dim. Hope I helped you out. [pimp]

BTW, if you want to learn a good way I think downloading videos or prefabs is the best way to learn. :biggrin: :biggrin:

dont press just k. That changes your light color. Make your info null (right click>info>null) and deselect everything. Then select your light and your null together (in that order) and press Ctrl-K. You should see a line connecting them.
