so im trying to make things that look destroyed so i need walls to have holes in them and pieces of them missing. but when ever i try to do csg subtract it crashes. well it donsnt every time, if you do somthing simple it will work but i need to do more. is there any other tool that could aid me in this?

don't use csg its very bad news. Use the cliper tool. Its the three blue dots in the tool bar in a triangle. You have to have a brush selected to use it and it must be used in the 2d window. Once you have cut something one part of the brush will disapear and you need to press shift and enter to get it back, then delete the bits you don't need.

And remember no csg is bad, very bad
