has anyone managed to get the video to play on the menu screen like in coduo?

if not i have tried to use this code but with no luck.

well, never played coduo - but if this works - i want to have the code 4 it xDDDDD
great idea - i thought about it but i came to the opinion that it is impossible to do - maybe iam not right at this point!!

the code i have placed above works for coduo you have the little intro video playing on the main menu screen.


what i am trying to do is recreate the same into cod2's main menu screen using the same code above but it doesn't work thats why i asked the question...

i thought the code would of been the same only the code above is set to dvar for cod2 as coduo is cvar.

if anyone would share any findings they may have on this i would be very greatful

did you try ui_cinematic ?

yeah i tried that still didn't work..

it's not impossible to do |S!T| it's just a matter of getting the code right.

i am confident someone out there knows how to achieve this but in the mean time i will still try to get it to work and if successful i will indeed post my findings.

Do you mean a video like on cod4 with the smoke going across - i dont mean u have smoke going across but is that where u want the video or do u want it with the activison logo?

i have no clue what the cod4 video you are refering to.

this is exactly what i wanted to do for the cod2 main menu screen.

the size and position doesn't matter as i can sort that out..
just want it to show on the main menu screen like the video is.

ehm ok i only see the half xD but i think you want it that way :P well - maybe you're right and its possible - but...why i haven't seen this on any mod in cod2? :D could be a new wave for mods :P maybe ^^
if u understand what i mean - many of the cod2 modders played coduo before...so why they didnt try to make the video thing in cod2?and i think only the g(o)od modders would got it to work - and also most of the go(o)d modders are registred at modsonline ^^ aren't they??! :D

so if any 1 got it to work - you should find him (or code ^^) here... ^^
