Yes, make sure the name is not the same as an already existing map (or .map file), since it will overwrite it. Icey lost his map due to this.

Also, to select all things in a map, press I, then backspace. Voila, an empty map :)

mm well i tryed it your way works fine ,but it seems that you cant change the sky box?,need more info on that ,cant seem to select the sky box in the test map ,and if you start the box from scratch it dont work
also i made a barn in cod2 caulked ported it t, then textured it and put it in and works good ,.............looks like we will be porting and making are own prefabs from scatch ...ouch time
to start over
seems odd that the errors are the same for the working map and the one i made that dont work ...nightmare starts lol

Skybox: do it as usual. Make a skybox with a texture and assign the worldspawn settings. Remember the texture you gave it.

Now in the .csv file, add:
xmodel,skybox_mak1

This is for the makin sky, I used the sky_mak1 texture.

Be sure NOT to add the model to your map!

well i did that, it has a new sky but it looks like crap!
all blan
only the skyboxs that are made look good any ideas here ?

My bad, you also need to add the following key/value pair to the worldspawn:

Key: skyboxmodel
Value: skybox_mak1

Value is thus the model you added to your .csv file.

but there is something i dont get....where is the missing asset.csv ?? i cant find it in any of my folders...how will i update my MAPNAME.csv ....

must be added to the world spawn in raidant with all the skybox selected

cool and i take it the zombies must be sp not as a mp_map?

ive always just add them my self to the csv ,
you can look through all the differnt csv for stock maps ,
you see a fx in a map that you like or want just go to that csv same for gsc file info that you need ,im sure that between all of us here there will be a post of the different csv call and efx
im looking forward to the skybox sunvalues myself or ill just make up my own sun "ref stock maps", that came with mod tools and tweek the settings
