I cant find any of the single player weapon sounds in my raw\sounds folder, are they on the disc? or where are they?

In the IWDs. They're basically ZIP files, so just change the IWD extension to ZIP and extract. If you have WinRAR, you can open up the IWD in WinRar and look around inside and extract any specific files you want.

I've looked, iw_11.iwd is the only one that has a "weapons" folder under "sounds" and the only sound in there is for the flashbang. Can you help me find "minigun_gatling_fire"?

Those other weapon sounds are all in the fastfiles, and we can't record them out of the game because nothing seems to do it in any reasonable quality

Well, just play around a bit- I've only ever managed to get muffled sound from it. There must be a way though: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9-4IFUak_U0 apart from wiring up an external recorder of course

Well im using fraps to record video and then just seperating the audio, and im trying to get a sound sample of it without ambient music or gaz yelling something stupid, im going to try cheat mode to get away from everyone else when theres a break in the ambient music. Thats a neat video btw.

Mines pretty good actually, i made the loop and cooldown fire sound for the minigun and its really clear, i put on notarget so i got a clean sound file with no ambient or other gunshot sounds messing it up.

Do you think i could find the HUD icon for the minigun or is that in the .ff's too?
