I made a map, looks great, but it wont update when I compile. I am running radient 1.1, so that is not the problem. When I am compiling bsb this is what I get

When trying to make a fast file I get this-

Try this. It worked for me.

1. Go to your raw\maps\mp folder and change mp_airplane.d3dbsp to mp_airplane1.d3dbsp.

2. Go to your Compile Tools menu, enable Developer mode and Developer Script mode (still not sure if the script mode helped, but it didn't hurt), and compile the map. This will create a new d3dbsp for your map.

3. Once the compile process ends, delete the mp_airplane1.d3dbsp file since you no longer need it.

4. Complete the rest of the Compile Tools utilities and run the map.

Report your results back here.

code bug: triangulation failed!

it didnt create a d3dbsp because of that error, its caused by a brush not aligned to the grid usually by clipping

if its any help to you its useally (not all the time mind) happens on smaller brushes and especially one you could of copied copy alot or rotated??

I had this problem several times and finally kill3rs hint on the clipping tool did solve it.

I often use DragEdges (E) on walls to make a 90° edge. But if you make a roof on a building or something like this, cutting the already "edged" wall to fit the roofs angle results in the triangulation error.

Hope this might help somebody ;o)

when you have a linker propblem mine said what was bad {destroyable_bus undifind} i removed it and it worked
"this was the prefab misc _models" so i just reloaded the xmodel and it worked " but think yours might be script error not map, try name change because the game has a stock map in it with that name ,"jet plane" or something
then recompile it make it force a new csv,csv_load,then just copy and paste assets in your new csv

I'm getting similar rebuild problems. I've done considerable changes to my map, have not touched the other files (csv, gsc, etc.), and have gone through the entire compiling process with no critical errors (just warnings). Still, when I click the Run Selected Map button from the compiler window, I can see from the global intermission view that my changes have not taken effect.

Am I supposed to click a certain option box on the compiler window? I even tried my old technique of deleting or changing the old .d3dbsp file name, but that gives me critical errors during compile. Any chance IW can release a patch to address this along with many other issues?

its not compiling
the way to check your map to see if its a model or prefab
does not have angles set "this might be whats going on
like this error here ,notice no angles ,this is ok for probes , but not models, prefabs,or spawns your map wont compile if you have this

{
"origin" "-704.0 704.0 0.0"
"model" "prefabs/mp/spawn_obj_tdm_aliies.map"
"classname" "misc_prefab"
}

now when its open to save time add this

"angles 0 0 0"

now it will be set with out moving anything in your map or using radiant to find it "would take for ever on a finished map

so it should look like this

"angles 0 0 0"
"model" "prefabs/mp/spawn_obj_tdm_aliies.map"
"classname" "misc_prefab"
}

just breeze though your map in note book and see ,"do this to a copy !!!"
"start at the bottom" this will be where the last prefab or model you entered and work your way up keep it simple change nothing else and dont just delete them or your numbers will have to be put back in order again by hand because your radiant cant open it if the numbers arent in sync

I found out what was stopping mine from updating. My compile was going way too fast to be considered a real compile, so I figured something was up. Also, my compile screen wouldn't let me Select All and copy the contents to Notepad.

However, I did scroll through it before I exited. I managed to find an error where I had a prefab with no model (like when you choose to put in a prefab, but back out at the model selection screen). Apparently, this will cause your compiler to finish prematurely and not update the d3dbsp. All you noobies, take note!
