I have followed tuts on here and wiki and also other sources and still cant get a screenshot for making minimap.

I have tryed adding script origins in to oposing corners as stated then when that no worked tryed other corners only 2 set up at each compile.

I drew a box through map so as to set script origins at exact points .After placement deletion of box

etc etc

I dropped console typed in /set scr_minimap_height 10000
and then /exec minimap. All that happens after this is I loose sight of my gun in fps view and dont get any way of taking a screenshot of a minimap layout.

I have the game patched to latest 1.5 and have also updated the radiant tools. Is anyone else having simular problems and have found a solution.?Could I also ask if it is possible for someone to make a video on how to do the minimap i would be ideal. I have my map and all other files including my loading screen i jus need to get the mini map to work so I can release it. HELP someone Please

- Make sure your map contains the two script_origins with the targetname minimap_corner.You don't need to create them by your own, there is a prefab available with this script_origin (prefabs/minimap_corner.map)

- Compile your Map.

- Create a gsc file (mp_yourmapname.gsc) for your map in the folder raw/maps/mp with the following content (needed minimum).
Code:
main()
{
  maps\mp\_load::main();
}

- Add the following line to your zone file:
rawfile,maps/mp/mp_yourmapname.gsc

- Create a new Fast File

- In the CompileTools tick the following boxes
[X] Enable Developer
[X] Enable Cheat
[X] Enable Developer Script

- Start your map

- Join a Team

- open the console and type in /scr_minimap_height 10000

I have tried and tried but no joy.I did however find somewhere in the forums at one point a person saying how to type in console so you can view your map from above whilst in spec to take the screenshot that way.This was some while back and due to a lack of braincells didnt retain it in my mind or copy of it in favs. Can anyone help with this minimap hell????? I have alsop noticed that if things arnt typed in exact it can make or break.I have checked double and more that all has been typed in correct but still no joy

Run your map from the customMaps Mod to get the minimap script screen shot.

+set fs_game "Mods/customMaps"

You can run it from the compile tools. You have to type it into the custom command line options at the bottom left.

Once in game and you spawn, pull down your console ~

/scr_minimap_height 5000

/exec minimap

Once you are in the top-down view, adjust the height until you can see the white border and "This Side Up" text. Do this by pulling down the console and repeating /scr_minimap_height xxxx

Give that a try.
