Can a person make a molotov cocktail pk3, like the ubernobbie knife mod, to just drop into a server side and client side if you have all the files , or can you pack the sound and gfx,efx and all that are need together in a single file.. I gotta have some on my server but not sure how get them...can anyone please advise...thanks a lot

do i get it right you want the molotov from Merciless to be used in your mod?

Yes it is possible

Question do you run any mod on your server? when wich one

the client side is easy to make no prob at all

theres also a bit of a script part to do server sided cause without the molotov wont do damage

I'm after a seperate molotov and mustard gas mod that's not dependent on awe and merciless too. I hate digging through the code for those mods [duh]

Yes , im using awe 2.11 panzer ss , with some stuff i put in also.. it has some of the extreme sounds ect.. cant get the blood to work though..but thats a problem i had worked out once but crashed server and forgot what i changed to make it work,since i messed with so much lol... i got a notebook now and write down everything i change and what the results are ....im learning lol

I have been working on this for about 3 weeks now to include something similar in my mod I'm making. It's a lot of scripting that I quite frankly don't have a grasp on yet.

I was talking to the maker of the merciless mod and he says the damage comes from the gametype scripts, not the effects them selfs because you can't make the effects do damage. It uses the impact point and radiates outward with scripting using an effect file and hacking it into the gametype scripts them selfs.

yep theres a lot of enmeshedcode in various gsc files that makes the mollies and the gas work. I've edited them all in my upgrade of merc, and I'm currently looking at extracting the remote satchels from awe to include in my mercv4. However, extracting the code and making it work will take you literally days of staring, noting, coding and testing.

OK, Ive got the mod made up,and it downloaded it on my server but Im not sure what to do with the .gsc files.. I have a call back .gsc that has molotovs in it. And the mc_weapons.gsc has it also... I guess i just put these in the server side of the mod ? Thanks if you can help..I really dont want to crash the server again .. lol

ive made a teargas and flash bang mod from the cod1 swat mod (easyer scripting), (mc flashbang fx looked gay (or som other mod was, so meny mods ive got) :| and i used mc teargas fx) but the teargas needs stuff doin to it, as its just a radius damage so it effects every1 atm, its in my XtremE mod (no, its not the extreme gom mod or w/e) its on 195.78.83.138:28960 but its down atm :/

molotov + mustard gas is same as teargas really with it staying around for a while, just a diff fx

blood fx is just a replacement of the efx files for normal blood fx (som blood puff clouds)

also, before putin ur own scripts on a server, try testing them on ur own pc and see if u get errors
