open the asset manager, select material and click new entry, name it, make the texture world pong, whatever surface type you want, default sort, whatever useage you want, whatever local you want.

Color map, use the dds you made and make sure it is somewhere in the Call of Duty 2 folder first. I put mine in the immages folder.

then, file save. pc convert all. It should work if you did it right.

It will put a file in your immages and your material folder. Make sure to include those files in your immage and material folder if your iwd or else the map will use default checkers when people play it.

Hope that helped, although I'm not sure it was less confusing than stryders [ohwell]

when or if you get a new graphics card, make sure that it supports Dx9, or you won't be able to use radiant correctly.

[lol]Lol, I re-read it and decided that it wasn't very clear but as clear as I know how to put it.

I learned from your tuts and a little experimentation so I didn't find yours confusing at all.

I believe the last part (if this is the line that you are referring to) is something that all of us who use Radiant do......we pray[tongue]

LOL, don't we all? [crazy]

Were you reffering to the immages and material folders? Basicly unless you put the files the asset managers make into folders in your iwd map file, players will only see green and whitish checkers in place of the texture you made. Tear apart a map and see how they have the immages and material folders. You need to do the same thing in your map.

If you are reffering to the very last line I was saying that I thought my explanation was more confusing than Stryders tuts but that I hoped it helped you anyway despite that. [thumbs_up]

For the first problem, Make sure that the dds is in a cod2 folder and then try to pc convert it again. I keep mine in my immages folder so I know that works.

2
Have you torn appart a map yet with a winzip or rar? That will show you what files you need to include to make a working map.

3
I just do it manually so I'm not sure if there is another way.
