Did you remove the other maps from your main directory?

This a script error. Start the map using /developer 1 and /devmap mapname to get more info on the error.

The way I do it is to have a shortcut on my desktop to COD2 Multiplayer with the following in the Target line of the properties of that shortcut. C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 2\CoD2MP_s.exe +developer 1 +devmap mp_yourmapname With this, it will auto run your map and if there is a script error, dumps you out of the game with a console box showing you where the error lies.

However, please note that, at least on my system, the properties of the Target in the shortcut must be: "C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 2\CoD2MP_s.exe" +developer 1 +devmap mp_yourmap name in other words, double quotes must appear around the executable portion of the target name. Or Win XP SP2 doesn't like it.
