Okay, I already did a search on this topic, but it didn't pull up anything that helpful. I know from my search that the error has something to do with too many visible faces? But what I need are ideas on how to fix the problem...[confused]

I remember getting this error. I think recently I made a comment on it in a different thread.

I'm almost positive if you have max 'patch' planes, you should try to join some patch work together.

You can also 'make detail' some of your brush work, if this error actually applies to brush faces.

simplify meshes and brushwork

think of what is going to be seen and what 'really' needs to be there

Okay, I'll try to simplify it, and see if making some brushes detail will work.

BTW, I got the error after just pulling to brushes closer together so that you didn't see the caulking behind them and then changing some textures from the seethrough type the the solid type...

On a side note, I have some of those see through textures in my map, and I'm trying to get rid of them. The only problem is that they're kinda hard to find, cause I've already replaced all the ones I can find. Is there some way I can pull up a list of all the brushes and their textures?

DUH![duh]

I think I found the problem. I put a prefab in my map where the designer didn't really know what he/she was doing and made the terrain mesh have a see-through texture. I changed it to a solid one, and I got the error. The meshes are really screwed up, and intersects each other everywhere. I think changing the texture to a solid made that a problem.

EDIT: Okay, I know that you can use Ctrl+K to align terrain meshes, but what if the vertices don't line up? Is there any other way of doing it?
