Ok i have this error, when opening map editor, i have been mapping in Cod2 rad since it came out, and my map isnt far from Beta now. Been working fine upto now, have tried reinstall and that kinda stuff, but with no luck.

I get this when i open editor

If you cant read 2nd screenshot its an error signature
"Appname:cod2radiant.exe AppVer: 1.0.0.1 Modname: gfx_d3d_tools.dll ModVer 0.0.0.0 Offset 00026f56"

That's the error message which windows gives you.

Did you do anything "strange" before this error appeared?

Strange in what way? to the map, or windows itself?

The only thing i did do was add a sandbag model to map.
Apart from that nothing has changed mapwise. I havent done anything to windows either, not recently anyway.

So.. you added a sandbag and then the editor crashed? or did it crash after adding the sandbag, closing Radiant and opening it again?

the problem with the error message is.. that's just the windows error telling you the program crashed...

Did you already try to remove the registery entries for CoD2 Radiant? (just taking guesses here!)

If so... open the .map file in Notepad and try to find the sandback and remove it in notepad..

Well i prolly posted that wrong in fact i did. As soon as i open CoD2 rad i get messages, so it wont open any map,

Hmmm... try removing the registery entries.. that's all I can think about... closing without a real error message (other than the Windows one) makes for very difficult bughunting.

Maybe try it over at IWN? There are IW people on those boards.. they might know something.

However being the crafty and quite tricksy hobbit, i managed to fix the problem.

Try Removing all the mods from your main folder and ask your computer really nicely to let you run Radient and IT WILL WORK

Well i have HAD! this problem and ACtually it just works when you delete ANY Non-Standard Map/Mod out ouf your Main folder
