Hello,
I am very new here and also very new to mapping, but I would love to learn it. I made my first little map like in the video tutorial. The room with 3 lights and a spawnpoint. All went well and i saved my map. I went to the compile tools to compile my map. I selected the map and didn't make any changes to the default settings. I press compile and i get the black DOS screen. After 2 seconds it disappears and I cant see any errors. I also cant find my map anywhere. Not in main/maps/mp or any other folder. Can anyone tell me what i am doing wrong here??

I had some problems getting the video to play. Then I installed Videolan mediaplayer and it played it fine.

Now i hope someone could help me with my problem.

Sampie, do you have DirectX9c and .Net installed? Most compiler problems seems related to that.

Go to www.micosoft.com. When there search for .Net and you will see a download.

did that now i get a diffrent error

This application has failed to start because d3dx9.dll was not found. reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

ive reinstalled twice
