Hi,

I'am making a road, but how can i bend these??
I tried it on the normal way ( with B )
but it says this: Error: you must have a single brush selected..
and i have only ONE brush selected

you need to patch it first with simpel curve patch

and then it works

If I do that I don't get the height I want I get something like 1 mm, im Dutch to =)[banghead]

oke dan doe ik het ff in het nederlands maak de bocht daarna druk je op v en dan pak je de punte die om hoog moeten vast en sleep je naar boven snap je??

i find it easier to use a terrian patch rather than a curve patch. Look into nevillers_enviro tht came with the editor and look how they arranged the verts to smaple a curved shape in the road. I dont like to use the bend feature on raods, i find it easeir to creat it by moving the verts manually and then connecting them with the "w" key.

As i say look at the maps provided and try using the search, there has been many topics and tuts on creating roads.

If I use Terrain or Curve I get a stupid 1 mm heigh bar.

Anyways, patches are always only 1 unit (or so) high.Nothing you can do about that really..

So if you want something higher bent, clipper is your best friend. (That rhymes [cool])

Exactly, good verticie managment and strategy you can create good roads. Patches I use for decals and other misc items like arches.

If you want a patch with thickness, you could make a square cylinder patch, which is able to be bent.

Patch->Primitives->Square Cylinder
