Hello,
I found out in the IWD files where the weapons sounds where located (iw_06.iwd).
I made my own sounds and I converted them to .wav (Wave) and replaced them with the original - I kept the original name!

Then I ZIP the whole thing and change it back to iw_06.iwd

Everything is going fine until I am going to test it, when I try to join a server it crashes, no warnings or whatever it just crashes or I have a black screen. The weird thing of all this is that it does work in a /devmap server.

Can anyone help me out with this problem, its kinda [duh]

Greetings, Jeannot

I don't know, But I think if you changed the files in your game folder and then tried to join a server that is your problem. I think the server would need to be running these files as well.

For instance, you might need to create a mod with these files and put it on your server and then d/l the mod and that should work... But I don't know.

I would suspect that both server and client would require the 'mod'. Remember if you files vary from that of the server you will be unpure, also when creating a mod you should never replace existing files, but create a new one altogether. For example your mod could be called zzz_soundpack.iwd

The game need to load the gamefile in the correct order, so starting with the pak01 etc...

Therefore adding 'zzz' before your pk3 makes sure the custom maps is loaded last!
