ok i want to start a thread and I want you all to list around 5-10 different map ideas!

Go crazy, be insane, anything you can think of put ur mind to it, it can be simple or hard, I will give em all a go :)

Eagles nest (You know Hitlers vacation house) or a map entirely inside a cave, with some water an stuff... thats what i could come up with now, too tired too think straight

i got a really really weird one. a normal map, but its gonna have to b entirely indoors for it to work. not one bit of space to walk outside im guessing. and then flip it. so u walk on the ceiling. when u look up u see a couch. its not exactly WWII but its fun. and make a catapult so u can throw youself across the map. (or just one of those two)

for me, the ultimate map, is a map that is big, based on real images, say its a S&D the 2 teams spawn on opposite sides, but the armies would have some time to travel, with a lot of different passages to go down, say its carentan, then you could circle all teh way around it without going in to town at all, it would need LOTS of building access, if there is a 3 story building, then there should be three active stories, heaps of ruble, my idea, is for people to play armies in a sense, split into 2 groups and flank them, instead of the charge of heroes and the nade tossing over the top of a building to kill a few krauts within seconds of teh beginning, i hpe this makes sense to you all, it is a brief idea i have, i will be happy to help out anyone who wants to make a map like this

pacific theater is a bit hard cause you need new weapons and skins for the Japs
and also most of the battles where fought in the rainforest wich is hard to make on the quake 3 engine without crashing it

not all battles were in rainforests. Iwo Jima, tarawa, and Okinawa were not.

wow some pretty good ideas here :) Its a shame I was working on a map but it suddenly had to many errors to even compile :( oh wellz

Ill give one of these a go, keep posting :D

Im going to try the Upside down world to begin with lol!
