1 was kind of impressive at the time of release. Hopefully this one will be too.

omg, how dissapointing, the demo sucks, the performance makes this unplayable...i played vc for a year before switching to cod, so i had some expectations. too bad, if the gameplay stays like this then vc2 is born dead. not to mention the strange walk, the sluggish controls, the unprecise aiming nor the ugly weapon- and playermodels. sh*t they let people wait years for this cr*p?????

I played it.. and liked it..

Though some things I didn't like:

- Enviroment looks nice, though you get lost in all the green pretty soon (which was also a problem in 1).
- Sounds are horrible, especially the gun sounds. Very metallic.
- Weapons are VERY weird. Though maybe (hopefully) this is a demo thing. The standard stuff AK47 and M16 are in there ofcourse.. but also stuff like ancient musket type weapon, uzi's, thompsons and I think I spotted an mp44 too.
- Jumping looks and feels very unnatural.
- Aiming and recoil take a bit of getting used to.
- You yourself make alot of sound when you walk, but you can hardly hear your enemy walk when they are close.
- Some weapons "sway" when you walk.. alot.. so it's the same short animation over and over and over and over again.


Played it on a few servers in dm and tdm.

DM is a bit of a frag fest, mainly because you start out without a decent weapon (just a gun and a knife) and you have to hunt for one which are lying on the ground everywhere. This may work for games like Unreal, but just seems unnatural in a Vietnam setting.

TDM. I think I'll like this the best. Because the lack of a weapon is less annoying. You've got your teammates to "hide" behind when hunting for a weapon.

There is alos ctf, but I didn't play that yet.

All in all.. I think I'll like the SP game.. and some selected servers with players with a mature playing style (hey, I'm old too!)

This was the first time I played VC. The directX9 graphics looked kinda pretty but the gameplay lacks alot.

-Walking felt wierd, and unreal. Felt like I was tip-toeing everywhere.
-controls suck ass.
-jumping is wierd.
-sounds are weak.
-recoil is whack.
-depot map blows.
-colision is off.
-seems slow and buggy.
-animations go whack.
-I get kicked for cheating all the time when I have my ATI Tray Tools on. This disappoints me alot since I need the features it has in it. Like my FPS display, GPU temp, and my *overclocking. Now I cant play this game with my graphics card overclocked. Overclocking is a must with my card.
-Main menu is Very buggy and crashes.
-Trail Map has ALOT of bugs and unclosed areas.
-I could think of alot more.
