Hi Guys,

Im creating a small run and gun map which isnt far off completion.

Ive just ran into a bit of an issue though and hope you can help.

I have done quite a bit of alpha blending in my map and had no issues but now all of a sudden i cant alpha blend any new patches i add.

Any existing patches in the map i can still alter if i want blending away no problem, if i create or copy to make a new patch that one will not alpha blend, i have triple checked i am actually using a blend texture which i am but it acts like a non-blend texture.

I have tried copying/creating lots of different patches all over the map and tried using 6+ different blend texture but it just wont blend anymore. Has anyone ever had this issue?

Thanks,

Moot

Hi mate!

I had the same problem, no matter what I did I couldn't blend, so what i did in the end was go 'patch>insert' and added to the existing patches that I wanted to blend, took a bit longer but it worked for me.

Could it be something you clicked in the Toolbar?

Does the console on bottom shows any error when you are alpha blending? If nothing works try to alpha blend with the G tool. To use it you must select the patch, bring up Vertices (press V) then use the slider of the G tool to alpha-blend. I use almost exclusively that tool for my maps.

I dont think it is anything i have clicked on the toolbar as i can still alpha blend existing patches unless theres something on the toolbar that only affects new patches.

Thanks for the reply i will try both of them methods [thumbs_up]
