i am tryin to make a tunnel going down underground, but cant figure out how to clip just a small square out of my simple terrain patch(ground)...instead of deleting rows/columns, is there i way i can just make the size of the hole that you would climb down in to get into the tunnels?

When I wan't to create a hole in my terrain I select te patch I wan't to cut and press V. after that i select, holding the ctrl. key, the row of dots I wan't to cut. then I press Ctrl + Shift + X. Then reslect the patch part you wan't to cut after that and continue. this way you can create your hole in the terrain patch. there are several tutorials for making tunnels, and how to create and modify terrain patches, just search the forum or look in the tutorial section..

goodluck,

create a new piece and place it in the empty spot!!
Kinda like patching some clothes...LOL [thumbs_up]

It could just be a solid piece you dont need to make a terrain patch

Select the patches you wan't to connect, press "V" with those patches selected.

Coloured dots will now appear, select the 2 dots you want to connect and press W - you have to do this untill all the dots are connected.

You can select 2 (or more) dots by holding down the left mouse button and dragging a box around them (in 2D or 3D window)
