I'm trying to help someone out and I'm stumped, we can't figure out whats causing this problem.

The map is in the mods folder on his C drive, yet it doesn't show up in game. He has a legal copy of the game and it's patched up to the latest version. Also he's on Vista.
I've had a quick search around some forums and had no luck.

ok, where exactly does he have the map saved?

C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Local Settings\Application Data\Activision\CoDWaW\mods

The username is his actual windows log on name, I just masked it out for safety.

C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Local Settings\Application Data\Activision\CoDWaW\mods\mapname\mapname.ff

Load the game, launch mod "usermaps" then drop the consoel and type

/map mapname


If its a zombie map it will show in the co-op menu under the normal level lists. (not the zombie list) unless you use an arena file.

He's got the map in this loction but it wont show up in the mods list. He's not making a map, he's trying to play a finished map. The map is in a mod setup.

Does he have a text file called: mod.ARENA

with the contents:

Also try putting the map in this location as well, C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\call of duty world at war\usermaps\yourmapname

@ Techno: The mod has all the correct files it needs to be playable. (it's my map) also the bug is that the mod is not showing up in game. (that wernt meant to sound rude)

@Welshy: He just tried putting the map/mod into the folder it still didn't work.
