I got many question no noob ones more like scripting ones.
1. how do i make a elevator go up then after a surtain amount of time it comes back down?
2. How do i make an elevator go sideways?
3. When im done making a house, am i able to select all of the house and make it all as one model or something like that, so i can just select one part of the house and it selects everything that i wanted to be te house?
4. A sliding door how do i make one go sideways and downward?
5.Is it possible to make a map size smaller once it is a .iwd?
6. Is it possible to put a working video in a map?
7.Can you use a texture or script in a surtain area on ur map people can run faster or move slower or make gravity heavier?
8. Is it possible to make a elevator stop at floor 1 and then wait like 5 seconds then moves onto another floor and waits 5 seconds then keeps moving on and once it hits top floor it goes down after 10 second all the way down then restarts the cycle all over again?
9. Is it possible to have a object move and have it keep moving?
10. how do i make a boat float and go back and forth like a sliding door ?
11. Sorry for all the Question but i need to know these cause i just joined a clan and i need to make maps for them im wokring on one almost done, but i will be working on a new map for zombies, so if i can get help with at least half of these question i will thank you very much.
12. Is it possible to make a elevator go up then sideways and at an angle?
13. how can i make christmas lights? [biggrin]
14. can you put a gun in a surtain spot and have it keep on firing in a single direction?


P.S. i Hope when you answer my questions it will answer everyone else's question

A bit more specific answers:

1, 2, 4, 8, 9, 10, 12) There is a great tutorial called 'moving things' in the CoD1 tutorial section. Works the same in CoD2.

3) Yes, save your house like a normal map, and then import it into your map as a prefab (rightclick->misc->prefab).

5) No. .iwd is already zipped.

6) You can make moving textures, but that's rather tricky.. I do believe someone managed to make a TV, but I'm not sure..

7) Not as far as I know.

13) Put in a light (rightclick->light) for the part which emits the light.. then put in a model so it doesn't look like the light comes from nothing ingame (make it smaller with the modelscale key/value pair

14) With a bit of scripting, yes.
