I have been making this map for a couple of weeks atleast by now, I have compiled, tested and recompiled and tested numerous times. But now when I make changes to the map, save it and then compile and test, the changes I've made aren't there its a version of the map from 3 days and numerous changes ago.

I'm not getting any errors during the process that I haven't gotten from the start, could not open map_fx.gsc, map.vision are the only ones I get building ff.

Any ideas what might cause it to not save like this? I'm going to try renaming and then recompiling it all see if that happens to work.

Your new version isn't being compiled most likely because either you have a leak in your worldbox or you have a red box hidden in your map called "misc. model" that you accidentally put in. To be sure, remake your worldbox, and search through your map for a "misc. model" that you might have accidentally introduced into your map.

I would suggest building the .bsp again, but under light options, uncheck "extra" and check "fast" so it goes quick. Then once the compile is complete, and it says press any key to continue: Right click that CMD screen and say select all, then Press ENTER, and you have now copied the entire compile process. Then paste it here, so we can see if there is a problem that you can't see in the compile process. But use the "code" button under BBCode so we can read it correctly.

Before I posted I searched for similar topics and I guess I just didn't use a good enough search term, after posting I ran across a post that helped me out.

I guess I started to make a prefab and didn't follow through so I had the little box there, I just went to the location it said in the bsp compile window and deleted that and now it works fine.

Thanks for the help and sorry for the double posting, welcome to delete to reduce clutter. But since your here you could tell me why I have a wall that I can't select/edit or delete and what to do to get rid of it. If so that would be great, thanks for the help again either way.

The only time I encountered this was when I cut a piece of a brush, and it was so thin that I wasn't allowed to select it or delete it like you say. It was an angled brush. But I found no solution for this... unfortunately.

Check the compile log it will tell you of errors like this, and will even show its co-ordinates.

Haha, thats exactly what it is too. I guess I'll just have to figure a workaround somehow. Thanks

Make a box around brush and "select inside" then delete it ?
