I can compile my map, all goes well, too well, it compiles in 2 minutes. I get a lot of "couldnt load shader for germany/wall/blue" or something like that...basically all the textures from original COD. when I play the map, I hear all the noises when I run accross these textures...Is a shader the sound the texture makes when ran accross or am I incorrect on this?....also is there a way to correct this compile to include the shaders?

a shader tells the engine how that texture will react...
if you are hearing the noises when you run across (wood on a wood floor for example) and when you shoot it it responds like wood would (that sounds funny) then you are doing everything right

shaders aren't compiled into a map, they are only loaded by the engine when the texture is played (used by the game engine) - hopefully this answers your question [angryalien]

Textures, i believe (correct me if I'm wrong), are "assigned" a shader, which they use, so you don't need to "get" the shaders. If you're talking about making a foliage sound or something, many common textures have useful shaders.

custom textures can be assigned shaders...take a look at the texture creation tutorial for more info on how to do that

other than that..AFAIK..shaders are not compiled into a map - rather are a resource that the textures draw on
