i searched almost everywhere, i couldnt find any infos on that effect.
has it something to do with the light settings ?
if yes then where can i find all different keys and values to change light settings ?
when u put a light on ur map in radiant, there are some infos in the entity pannel, but its not that explicit.
and they still didnt fill that part in the wiki :(

Godrays in COD4 are not a lighting effect but skinned to the enviroment.

Create a patch and apply ch_godray texture. Then at orthogonal viewing angles the skin will show.

I can't find the damn texture, I use the toolbar and put the ch_godray in and it doesn't come up with anything. Also searched through my entire texture database and it's not there :/

Look harder, its there. Make sure you have "view all textures" checked. Otherwise reinstall the texture DB.

yea there should be 2 of them, one is ch_godray and the other ch_godray_fire
one will give white rays, the other orange/brown ones

guys, would you write a tutorial incl. screenshots and make it public please?
