i have been trying to get the fog fx to work in my map like it is in the SP blackout map ,
I have even copied the original fog box in to my map with all the entetiy info in it ,& made a mp_mapname_fx file
i have used the csv fx form blackout & the overgrown but im getting no fog any advice ?
plus i would like the ambient sounds from blackout including,the background noise & frogs , or overgrown
instead of the mp_test.map blacklot ambient

any one know how to do this right
as its holding me back

WISH SOMEONE WOULD DO A PROPER FX TUT THAT ACTUALLY WORKS AS THE ONE ON TUTS SECTION DOES NOT WORK.

oops sorry abotu the caps... i spent 2 days trying to add a simple fx like fire to my map with no joy and no joy from anyone at modsonline. i think this is a job for caretaker or foyleman to do this tut for us

hmm very weired then wonder whats missing from my files
as i tried that i also pulled out my own that i did for cod2 and they didnt work either

no disrespect m8 but how did the tutorial work when it clearly states

well that cannot work for starters cos the fx has to be fetched from after the fx folder soo fx/fire/fire_barrel_fragm_a.efx
will not work no matter what it has to be fire/fire_barrel_fragm_a.efx so how did you get it to work with the first code ???

anyways i fixed it but it is just showing the fx brush floating in the air. i have checked my path it is correct i have updated and added everythign to my fastfile just incase. but still only the fx image shows

The missing FX brush means you didn't add the effect to the .csv file when updating the zonefile.

It worked because I copied the text a bit lower in the tutorial, which does use the correct folder.
