to create door openings
the easy way is with the tool carve
first create a brush then copy it [select object hold down shift and move it in one of the 2d windows]
now you have 2 blocks
make one of them your desired wall size, the other door size.
make door size slightly deeper than the wall so it protrudes both sides
If your not sure how high or wide to make this opening use the info_player_deathmatch entity this is the size a player will be in game.
Next move the door size block into position

now you are ready for carve. With the door opening block selected click toolsthen carve
Ok now move the door opening block away from wall and you have an opening

use the block that you used to make doorway to make your door. Then copy it so you got 2 doors then apply a door texture to one and the origin texture to the other use fit in the justify options top left see screen

ok now move the origin brush in between door and wall resize it so it is thin see screen the origin will not bee seen in game

select the door in the 2d view then right click on it and select solid entities navigate to doors/func_door rotating
see screen

this will open a properties box for the door give the door a name door1 then close

ok next thing is to hold ctrl on keyboard and select the door and origin, then goto tools and tie to entity see screen

now make another block with the trigger texture select it in 2d view and right click for trigger multiple see screen

next in properties give it target name door1

the trigger wont be seen in game but when a player enters it the door will open
