this may sound like a stupid Question but what files do I need for our server to see my map and how do they need to be structured?it is a tdm map,I am new to this part of the mapping process and really have no clue where to go from here.I have run the map on my 3 computers with family and works good although it could use some modding.I am lost with this part.

Check the filter settings (gametype etc.).
Can you start the map from the console?
If you can't, it can be a wrong setup of your iwd file or wrong compression type, so the game can't handle the iwd file.

Check yif you compress with WinRar or WinZip. Remember that WinRar don't work to compress.(i had that experience)So compile with WinZip, should work.[drink]

If you use normal compression, WinRar works also. I only use WinRar to create my iwd files.
And he said, he can start his map from console, so the the game can read the iwd file correctly.

@ fireballz:
Is your arena file in the folder mp (where it have to be) or in the folder maps/mp ?
Post your arena file.

Create a folder on your Desktop and name it map_temp (or anything else).
In there, create two folders. A folder with the name maps and another with the name mp. Place your arena file into the folder mp. Next go into the folder maps and create a second folder with the name mp. In there, place the d3dbsp file of your map and the gsc file/s for your map.
Now you will have the following folders and files:
mp/mp_yourmapname.arena
maps/mp/mp_yourmapname.d3dbsp
maps/mp/mp_yourmapname.gsc

Go back to the folder map_temp, select the the two folders you see, rightclick and select add to archive, to create a zip file with both folders in there. After that, change the extension from zip to iwd and copy it to your folder main of CoD2.
