I have tryed puting in a 30 and mg 42 in my map and when I get it compiled I have the darned race car again.
is there a static mg or somthign I jsut odnt like the race car thing.
hahaha thanks if you can help me.

So much has been written here about how to put an mg42 in your map that all you have to do is type in mg42 in the search bar and you will get the correct method to do this.

Right Click in the 2d view and select misc\turret and place the MG42 where you want it on the map.
Press N to open the Entity Window and enter these keys and values, enter the key first then the value, then press Enter before entering the next key and value.

key: angles
value: 0 180 0

key: bottomarc
value: 15

key: classname
value: misc_turret

key: export
value: 38

key: model
value: xmodel/weapon_mg42

key: origin
value: 0 0 0

key: toparc
value: 15

key: weaponinfo
value: mg42_bipod_stand_mp

LPRay I dont mean to be mean but you relay think I didnt try thata first look at how many ?s I have ever asked 2 yeah 2. I did typ in mg42 and found nothing that was of useflull help.
and Preach thank you. you were able to put it in relay easy terms for a nub like me to understand.

Yeah, fine.

Preacher has given that same answer and it is the correct answer many times before so I know that with search it could be found. I know that you are new to mapping and more power to you. Im sorry if I insulted your intelligence by even "thinking" that you hadnt used the search feature.

sorry another NUB ?.
I want to put in teh 30 now what is teh 30's specs or is it the same specs I cant figer it out haha sorry people.

Your best bet is opening test.mp through radiant first... Highlight the gun you want and then open your map... It will ask you if you want to copy the selection... Say yes and you're set.. This works for CTF, S&D too... The test.map is awsome for failproof map making.. You need to get your hands on the map-making bible..
