Hi,

First off, I want to say this is an awesome site! I started mapping for COD2 a few days ago and am having lots of fun and learning quickly thanks to all the tutorials and reading the forums!

There is one problem, however, that I haven't found the solution for yet.

Ever since I downloaded and played the Death Star map, a lot of new textures have appeared in Radiant. I wasn't bothered by them at first, but I noticed that some textures were missing, or somehow corrupted. When scrolling through the textures, I sometimes get an error saying:

FATAL ERROR: failed to load image 'death_star_dest_1'
GetLastError() = 0

Because of those textures I can't scroll beyond their position in the list without this error showing up and Radiant crashing. I can't even get to the Textures -> Usage -> Sky list.

I'm assuming the easiest way to get rid of them and make certain it doesn't happen again is to remove those textures, but I don't know where to find them!

Any help would be much appreciated!

Your Main should be clean of custom maps and mods before you open Radiant.

Now that was stupidly obvious.

Thanks!

no it wasnt u should always map with an empty mainfolder (use can use that moDMove)
or if you want to use custom textures and you have the permission to use them you have to extract them and save them in your materials and images folder otherwise if someone hasnt got the map the textueres are missing because it takes the textures out of the custommap

Umm... I didn't do something I should always do, doesn't that make the solution obvious?

And thanks for the tip about using custom textures, though I already figured that out myself.
