arg, this is really agitating me.
i made a simple room with 1 wall an opening door with an orgin, 1 breakable window with the script, 3 dm spawns, 1 spawn intermission, 2 lights, and a skybox around the inclosed are with the texture only on the inside of sky/mp_carentan. i have my worldspawn values on the 6 inside faces of my skybox. when i compile and play i get the error cannot locate spawns. i went back into radient and in the entity window it had the orgin of the spawn. i then went into multipayer and typerd /map mymapname and i got the error RE_LoadWorldMap: maps/mp/mymapname.bsp not found. why? it is there- please someone help

If you're testing your map in COD multiplayer, you need to copy the bsp file into your "Call of Duty\main\maps\mp" folder.

If you're testing your map in COD singleplayer, it just needs to be in the "Call of Duty\main\maps" folder I believe.

Did you remember to copy the BSP file into the mp subdirectory?

Also, make sure you turn off pure server settings... type "/sets sv_pure 0" in the console before loading your map.

when you create spawns in radiant - all you need to do is right click in the 2d window and select mp --> whatever_spawn

ensure that it is not in the ground or in a wall or other solid (i can be way up in the air - it wont matter as the game just takes the x,y co-ordinates and sets the spawn above the closest solid below it

it sounds like you have either:

1) not compiled your map (or thought you had but it gave errors and didn't create the .bsp)

or

2) placed your .bsp in the wrong directory. ensure that yourmapname.bsp is located in CoD/main/maps/mp/

*also ensure that you are starting your server with pure turned off AND all mods removed from your main directory [angryalien]
