So, I'm making my first outdoor map, and one of the main visuals will be a large cluster of waterfalls and pools on one side of the map. So, my questions are:

1)How do I make it so you take damage (under the water) while only crouching or going prone? I know I'll have to use a trigger_hurt, but that affects you anytime.

2)Are there any other water textures besides the ones in the sfx section? Like in a PK3 somewhere?

1) i dont know

2) i dont think so but you can always find a nice water texture and add the custom texture to the raidant, there are tutorials on custom textures if you decide to do that.

Thought up another water question, still need the first two answered

3) Is there some sort of mist effect I can place at the bottom of a waterfall so you can't see the horrible looking join between the pool and the waterfall?

1) create 2 triggers - one slightly above the water (A)- and one in the water (B)

if player is touching (B) and (A) then no damage

if player is touching (B) but NOT (A) then kill 'em

2) no

3) look in the efx list for something that may be what you are looking for

Okay, I get what you're saying for number one, I just don't know how to implement it. Same for three; I think I found the efx I need in a pk3, what knowing where to look was only intution, I'm a total nub to doing anygthing more complex than models, and I couldn't find a tutorial on it.

Okay, I looked at the fire tutorial and changed the code for water, and it worked, so now I just need to know how to do the thing with the two triggers.[drink]
