so i've followed all the tutorials...and still my map will crash the server. I can test it, run it on a LAN and locally, however I cannot put it successfully on a server open to the internet.

Everytime the map starts it will show the loading screen then dump the server entirely...if the map is the first in rotation then everyone connecting will be stuck on the waiting connection status.

what gives?? here is a link to my map...if you guys can actually compile it, PLEASE let me know, or if I built it wrong let me know as well..I would really appreciate it!!

if its a dedicated server then you need to alter the cfg file to add the gametype and name of your map..
ie.. "gametype dm tdm map mp_yourmapname
if not then make sure you used winzip NOT winrar to make your iwd.. thats what was making mine crash!.. also check that you have the correct folder formation in your iwd... thers a tutorial in the list on the left.

your links for d/l are not working...

i would suggest that you double check the aforementioned items, as well as your .arena file

an improper arena file can cause the server to hang as well

K, i tried to "repack" the iwd using pakscape, that didn't work either, going to try it with winzip but at this point Im quite doubtful...

I've put everything in the correct file and still cannot get it.

just rename the .zip to be .map

please remove the _done from this and change .zip to .iwd

thanks guys for your continued help. I swear I'm not a total noob at mapping, I use to make 1v1 maps for cod1 but never have I had an issue like this. it's driving me nuts.

looks like its the archiving thats the problem because i cant open that file it says its corrupt...
when you name the archive you are adding to are you putting .iwd at the end?
