ok i have chosen to edit a current made health bar and just use my own background for it, the file was in dds format,

I simply opened the file with The compressonator converted the file to PNG so i can see what size it is in photoshop.

Then i took a background of this wallpaper and made it the Exact same size saved it as JPEG opened it with compressonator then saved the new health bar as a dds .

Added the required folders and files into a pk3 with pakscape and put into cod main directory or uo, i cant remember.

But anyways when i ran the game the health bar was black and was not what the background i selected.

soo... Where did i mess up?

a .jpeg file doesn't have an alpha channel.. and the healthbar needs one.

download the nvidea .dds plugin for Photoshop and open the .dds file directly in Photoshop instead of converting it.

Save it with the alpha channel and it should work

I've downloaded a program from cod files but stil didnt read the dds files so where can i get the plugin at?
