This is pretty crazy news. Some person that goes by the initials S.C. It's actually an SP-to-MP conversion because the tools for map creation aren't available yet, but that doesn't mean anything -- it's still some awesome news! This map is of the "Road to Hill 400" defense mission in the American single-player campaign, and it's just as cool in multi-player as it was there. It's got the same great landscaping and strategy, and it's open to a maximum of 16 players. The map currently only supports Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch, but you could quite possibly recreate the single-player game with attack-defense tactics and a number of your friends! Check out the screenshots from the link below of this excellent conversion, and download it now! Two Thumbs Up! Also here are some servers I know that are running this. Hope he converts some bigger maps which would hold me over until customs start coming out whenever they decide to release the damn tool!! [mad]

the German Front guys are just about to bring out another sp-to-mp map - Silotown (remember that from the sp game?). It looks awesome, much bigger than Hill400, and will be released at the weekend.

a couple of other dudes are doing other conversions as well.

pegasus did get converted, used to play it alot back in the good ol' days... theres both night and day versions btw

well, Ive done Silotown like all the others lol

I stripped out all the sp elements - nodes, actors, fxs, spanwpoints, etc etc, and then used the /viewpos function while in spec mode, and placed DM spawn points.

Works - but a bit shakey. The silo itself dithers when you move past it, but other than that, it works!!

The map is really quite big (for a COD2 map), and its gong to be a fun map when everyone is finished playing around it.

Id post it up, but its 10meg and Im nearly out of space on my website. But if anyone wants to FTP it, I set up an account on my Bullet Proof server, so you can have a look at it. Here are the details:

Tried out Silotown and have to say that it is really sweet! I seen what you were talking about with the silo being shaky. Also the top is a bit glitchy as I remember there is no roof in single player but a breath of fresh air!!! Great Job Tally! This really gives us something to look forward too until the tools are released as I know the mappers are eager too pour out the customs....
